Time for some photos:
This is me last summer (2006) at my pre surgery weight:
The later was taken last week in Florida. 50+ pounds gone!
I've been having some trouble. I started puking more, and in a rougher way- more than a burp. My pouch is getting really hard on me! At Universal Studios, there was very little I could eat. One day if was fake hamburger meat (what is that shit anyway?) that I couldn't keep down. The worst was eating a some smoked turkey leg. OMG, I was throwing up for hours! I mean really heaving, sweating, foaming, general yuckiness! I think the biggest obstacle right now is that I want to eat like a normal person. I can't. My pouch, just under 4 months old, isn't ready for everyday food. I wanted to have about 2" off a meatball sub. I should have just had the meatball. I wanted to eat mashed potatoes with dinner (just a teaspoon, mind you) but it hurt so bad! I'm also very annoyed that I can't drink for 30 minutes after I eat. I understand all the reasons why, but it can be a real pain in the ass. All I can say is, thank God for dumping syndrome and foaming - otherwise I might continue to make bad choices!
I Because of this, I don't eat much, so I am sure to include a protein bar for one meal and about 1/2 bottle of the Isopure protein water. Those, with regular food, gives me enough protein to keep me strong and healthy.
This is what I drink, Isopure Zero Carb RTD in the Grape Frost flavor. Pretty expensive at about $4 a bottle, but you can get a very good dose of protein from it. I still love the flavor of the Oh Yeah! protein wafers, but I'm back to the Myoplex lite bars. They are way more filling than the wafers! I could eat those wafers like Kit Kats if it wouldn't give me a belly ache.
On top of everything, I feel like I have hit a little plateau. Not enough to be discouraged, but enough to get me moving and changing my routine. I think whenever we hit a plateau, we must shake things up a bit! I get weighed next Friday, so I will have more good news in the weight loss arena!
