It's true!  She put together the most incredible cookbook, and I have been having so much fun using her recipes, but damn!  She uses a lot of butter!(I love her, I really do!)

AKA- my Special Ingredient- I tend to get a bit sloppy after a few of these.  Thank God it's Sangria season....

 

In between boxes I have managed to find a few local treasures in Downtown Littleton:

The Pink Attic Cat....one of the best vintage finds stores I have ever seen!  Watch out Earleen- your head will explode!!

...the most amazing collection of unique cowboys boots.... I Iove this place!  Once I lose the "muffin top"  I plan on hitting it hard!

Some of you may remember that I had gastric bypass surgery almost 4 years to the day.  I have been so happy with it, but I need to get back on "the Plan".  I've been enjoying a few too many carbs and not enough protein.  So, I'll be doing the 5 Day Pouch Test to reorganize my insides.  I might open up The Fat Farm to chronicle this new journey.....

But first, I am going to enjoy our visit from this fabulous couple cuz they are coming for a BBQ on July 4th:

Today, I spent the afternoon with my blog friend Valarie Kraft!  We've known each other on-line and met for the first time In Real Life today.  We had a great lunch at Cafe Terracotta and I can't wait to see her again- we became fast friends.  You will love her too, but she doesn't have a blog!   I'll look forward to seeing her again this weekend at A Paris Street Market right here in town!

It's Not All About The Weather.....

I promised Earleen (who lives in Phoenix) that we wouldn't discuss the weather here in Denver.....until November.  But it's really pretty!!  We've been able to enjoy these outside.....

Out here in the evening with the boys...

It's so  lovely to walk up to the front door and have a hanging plant....

And a yard for this sweet girl to relax....

And a place for this little man to stalk squirrels and birds (safely locked inside)....

And it's so nice to stroll in Downtown Littleton....

And getting this kind of mail from friends....

My first weekend in Colorado I was lucky enough to go to a party and catch up with this former Phoenician, Carlene!

She is so amazing and has such an interesting life.  She has a great man (The Farm Giant), great friends, goats, chickens, horses, bees.....we plan on having lots of fun with them!!!

 

I am still neck deep in boxes, finding places to put everything.  The last 2 weekends have been spent at Younger Son's lacrosse tournaments in Colorado.   It's been really nice having Eldest Son here with us!
