This is from my Artistic Affair swap partner Valerie Jones!!!  It rocks!  We were to select out prefered color ( mine was green) and our partners were to fill a 4"x 4" circular box with goodies.  Valerie went above and beyond by packing it with fabulousness and enclosing it in this wicked birdcage topped off with a vintage millinery hat- SPECTACULAR!
Lucky me!

Napping is a Contact Sport......

Scout's home, and we have been attached ever since:

Scout

That's Scout, nestled in between my legs- my tee shirt is pink, and my pant leg is blue (on the left).  I don't think she could get any closer- everytime I move, she moves....and that's just fine with me!

At this point, it doesn't appear that Scout has any significant damage!  I'm going to make a formal visit with God this Sunday.  It is really a miracle that she survived.  I thank everyone who send some love our way because I know that was a huge part of the outcome.  I couldn't have been able to bear the sadness I was feeling without you!  And of course, "job well done" to the Emergency Animal Clinic in Gilbert, Arizona.  Their expertise and constant care saved Scout's life.  Their kindness and consideration made this bearable for me and Scout.  Thanks also go to the ASPCA Poison Control Center.
The staff there worked with my Vets to find an appropriate treatment plan for Scout.

I am a happy girl, and I thank God!

My Pretty Things....

Scout

She is going to survive the overdose!  I am hoping she comes home tomorrow.  At 4 AM, the Dr. is going to run blood tests on her liver and kidneys to see if there is any permanent damage.  Your love and prayers were part of Scout's miraculous story!  Thank you!

Update on my little Scout....

Thank you so much to everyone for all your thoughts and concerns- I am just sick with sadness and your kind comments help.

Last night Scout ate 24 of Remington's pills- nearly the entire bottle.  The normal dose for a dog her size is 1/4 of one pill.  She ingested a highly toxic, deadly amount.  We acted quickly and took her to the 24 hour Animal Hospital, but because of the type of med, is was completely absorbed into her system.  This kind of toxicity causes life threatening high/low blood pressure and/or high/low heart rate.  Scouts blood pressure is still very high at 180 and they are still trying to get it down.  I think around 100 is the ideal.  She's been stable since this morning, but that BP really needs to go way down for her to survive.  The doctor told me it was ok to be caustiously optomistic, but I want to hear that she is all better and come home.  She must remain in the Animal Hospital for at least 48 hours.  I'm trying to keep my spirits up, but I just want to sleep.

Thanks for checking in.

I want to jump off a cliff....

Last night around 11 pm, my little Scout ingested a massive overdose of Remy's medication.  She's at the Animal Hospital fighting for her life.  Send some hope our way please- we need it!
